| Ft. Zumwalt was a 1 ½-story log house. It consisted of two main rooms (pens) placed on either side of a central stone chimney, which is still standing. The original 1-story cabin was on the east side and an additional 1-story lean-to was added to the south side of the main building, giving the overall residence an L-shape. |
